Abstract Daniel E. Wegner conducted a series of interviews with eight residents of the Newry community of Oconee, SC in 1978 as part of research for his Clemson master's thesis. The interviews focus on life in the small rural mill village of Newry during the first decades of the twentieth century. Interviews are with both black and white individuals of both genders.
