Scope and Content

Registers listing visitors to the home of John C. Calhoun (1782-1850), located on the Clemson University campus. From 1893-1932 no register was kept. Mrs. A.G. Holmes reintroduced the register beginning March 31, 1932.

Introduction This collection consists mainly of material created and assembled by Professors Alester Garden Holmes and George Raymond Sherrill while they were writing Thomas Green Clemson: His Life and Work. It includes research notes, copies of correspondence related to Clemson and manuscript versions of the book.
