This series contains correspondence, memoranda, and financial summaries. In August 1950, The Broadcasting Company of the South was created to manage Hipp family-owned radio (and later, television) operations. Its predecessor firm was Surety Broadcasting Company; its successor firm, created in 1965, was Cosmos Broadcasting Corporation. Among the correspondents in this series are Charles A. Batson, John W. Lindsay, J. Dudley Saumenig, and G. Richard Shafto.
