Although a separate corporate entity, WNOX was managed by The South Carolina Broadcasting Company under the overall direction of G. Richard Shafto. The Federal Radio Commission rejected WNOX’s bid for relocation, and the station was sold to Continental Radio Company of Cincinnati in 1935.
