The Biographical Information records document personal information for certain employees and executives who worked for the Liberty Life Insurance Company and The Liberty Corporation. These records inform us about the work experience, personal and family interests, and the civic and religious activities of these people. These records provide us with knowledge about certain individuals who worked for Liberty, and tell us what kind of people these individuals were who helped make Liberty Life and The Liberty Corporation the kind of companies they are today.

As mentioned above, most of this biographical information was originally coupled with photographs and/or portraits of the individuals as generated by the Communications Department for company and public relations purposes. A few of the biographical information records included in this collection were included in the Archives at the request of Robert Ritchie as he endeavored to create an historical records depository for the company.

The Biographical Information records are arranged alphabetically by name for sixty-eight individuals. The dates of the information run from 1948 to 1983, with the bulk of the dates running between 1962 and 1979. Twenty-seven individuals have photographs and/or portraits associated with their biographical files. Those photographs and/or portraits are located with Record Group 8.1, the Communications Department Photographic Records.
