Scope and Contents note

This tape, along with the three following tapes, contains detailed descriptive histories of Liberty and Southeastern Life from 1905 to the formation of The Liberty Corporation in 1968, and are narrated by Bo Moore. First, an introduction to the subject matter, i.e., what records are used, their relation to the subject, who created them, and where the records are located within the Liberty Life Building and The Liberty Corporation Archives; then, Southeastern Life from 1905 to 1929, and a biography of W. Frank Hipp from 1889 to 1919.
