The collection consists of The Commentator, the weekly newsletter, 1942-1970; a number of employee handbooks, 1948-1979; and programs from the Old Timers Club annual supper, 1954-1978.
Organized as Union Bleaching and Finishing Co. in 1902 with John White Arrington as its president, 1904-1938, the Greenville, South Carolina firm was at one time one of the largest finishing plants in the South, prior to the First World War. It was purchased by the Aspinook Corporation in 1947 and by Cone Mills in 1952.
