Two diaries covering the period April 30, 1918, Anne Redfern's 18th birthday, to May 29, 1924. The diaries recount her personal life, including social events and her activities as a student at Winthrop College. She also describes her family life in Clemson and experiences as a teacher in Valdosta, GA, Hartsville, SC, and Marion, SC.

Biographical Note

Anne Redfern was born on April 30, 1900. She was the daughter of Dr. Alexander May Redfern and Annie Strayhorn Redfern. Dr. Redfern was the first college surgeon at Clemson College from 1893-1920. Anne Redfern graduated from Winthrop College in 1920 and taught school in Valdosta, GA, Hartsville, SC and Marion, SC.
