These photographs are copies of photographs printed in the December 25, 1919 "Health and Happiness" issue of the Southern Textile Bulletin. This annual issue was devoted to descriptions of various southern textile mills. Copes were sent to public libraries throughout the United States in order to enlighten readers about the work and living conditions in mill villages. These are C.E. Hutchinson's images of Hudson, Lenoir, Moore and Whitnel Mills, and Efird Manufacturing Company.
