Norris correspondence, July 15, 1895 re local Indian legend; two oversize photographs, one a campus view and one of cadets, faculty, and trustees, were removed and filed in the Mss photograph files.
William Shannon Morrison, born in 1853 in Winnsboro, South Carolina; graduated with AB degree from Wofford College in 1875; taught in public and private schools and was Superintendent of city schools in Spartanburg 1874-1892; in 1892 he became the first history professor at Clemson College where he taught until his death December 22, 1922.
