Biographical / Historical

William Nathaniel Simpson was born around 1904 in Richburg, South Carolina. He attended Clemson College, where he majored in Chemistry. Simpson was a member of the Chester County Club; Chemistry Science Club (President); Howitzer Company, Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), Camp McClellan, Alabama. He graduated in 1925. By 1940, William Nathaniel Simpson could be found in Pierce, Florida where he was Director of Chemical Control with the American Agricultural Chemical Company.
