The collection consists of one folder. It contains seven loose sheets; six are typed compilations of census data from various sources and the last page is one hand-drawn family tree.
This family history was compiled by Rufus H. Bethea of Birmingham, Alabama and is dated August 30, 1937. In addition to Blasingames in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina; the text also mentions James Blassingame in Greenville, South Carolina and several Blassingames in Union County, South Carolina. The information comes from the U.S. Census of 1790 and censuses of Virginia from 1782 through 1784.
