This series consists of files that document the activities of Clemson College faculty committees that served from 1930 until 1955. Each of the files contains correspondence or memoranda from President Poole to the chairmen of the committees, and, in turn, reports, minutes, or memoranda from committees to the President or, in some cases, the Board of Trustees. The committee files may be categorized as those that document policy decisions of faculty and administration; departmental and student activities; and the operation of the institution, for example, building and grounds maintenance.

The files are arranged alphabetically by title of the committee.
Office of the President. The material that deals with the Graduate School was originally filed with the committee records in the Office of the President. Later the material was moved to the office of Dr. A. E. Schwartz, Dean of Graduate Studies and University Research. In 1972 the material was delivered to the library by Wright Bryan.
