This series contains the records of the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Commerce and Industry (formerly called the College of Industrial Management and Textile Science). The majority of files are those of Ryan C. Amacher, Dean, and Tomas D. Efland, and Associate and Acting Dean. Also found in the series are files of Amacher's predecessor, Wallace D. Trevillian.
The records consist of correspondence, minutes (both college and departmental), annual reports, budget documents, reports, publications, and photographs. They were produced by the departments within the College: Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Management, and Textiles. The records also document other activities affiliated with the college, for example, the Office of Professional Development, the Frank L. Roddey Small Business Development Center, and the J. E.Sirrine Textile Foundation. Correspondents include Clemson Presidents Bill Atchley, Walter Cox, and Max Lennon, and representatives of various textile organizations.
There are no restrictions on access. Use of the records is governed by the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act. Access to certain files may not be permitted based on exemptions provided for in this Act. S. C. Code Ann. § 30-4-40 (a) (2)
