This series contains the records of the Office of International Affairs. The office organized study abroad programs for students from Clemson University and other colleges to experience and gain a broader understanding of the world in business, politics and other areas. The records consist of application forms, correspondence, itineraries, listings, memoranda, and publications. Subject represented in the records include foreign study. The bulk of correspondence is that of Frances L. Edwards, Director of the Office of International Affairs.
There are no restrictions on the use of this collection except those folders marked "Restricted Access." These files have been segregated in a box at the end of this series.
The Office of International Affairs was part of the College of Business and Public Affairs. The office was created in the fall of 1997 and abolished in 2001.

The files originated in the Office of International Affairs and were transferred to Special Collections from Clemson University Records Management in 2006, accession number 06.109.
Assistant University Archivist Laurie Varenhorst processed the series and prepared the finding aid for encoding in 2010.
