This daybook contains 501 numbered pages of daily purchases made at E.B. Benson and Son's business in Pendleton, South Carolina, from January 1, 1859 to July 21, 1859. The items include clothing, materials, household furnishings such as dishes, and simple medications.

The Collection includes photographs and negatives taken between 1884 and 1915. All but one were taken in Pendleton, SC. There are six photographs and two negatives which include photographs of a band wagon, Redshirts reunions, a New Year's Eve Party and a picture of Louise Hunter and four friends taken in Whitewater, NC.

Original book and carbon typescript, consisting of the roll of the Redshirts on February 2, 1878 (74 names) and on August 28, 1880 (51 names); minutes of meetings held at Farmers Hall and Maxwell Hall in Pendleton listing elections, officers and resolutions; and correspondence (listed in the minutes) with the Adjutant and Inspector General E.W. Moise regarding their status as a state group or as an independent and private club which would offer its services to the state if needed.
