Abstract

This collection consists of the records of the Forum Club, a discussion group at Clemson College. It documents the membership, programs, and activities of the Club from 1929-1979.

Scope and Contents The Mell scrapbooks of newspaper clippings and printed material document primarily the period when Patrick Hues Mell served as Clemson College president, 1902-1910. There are clippings from the major state newspapers as well as some smaller local and out-of-state newspapers. A variety of invitations to commencements, dances, lyceum programs, dramatic offerings, presentations, and the various programs of the College's literary societies are also included in the scrapbooks.
