Robert Richardson Coker had a distinguished career as a leader in agriculture and business and served as a life trustee of Clemson University. The correspondence, memos, minutes, newspaper clippings and other materials relate to his participation as a member of the Board of Trustees and various matters that came to its attention.

This collection consists of the personal papers of Robert Stanton which predominantly document the period when he was the Regional Director of the National Capital Region, Washington, D.C., and Director of the National Park Service, as well as his career after leaving the National Park Service in 2001.
